About Atelier Eiapit
Atelier Eiapit is a space where design is rooted in the essential. Here, every line, every texture, and every shape is a dialogue between material and gesture.
We work slowly, embracing unpredictability and imperfection. Far from rigid standards, our creations bear the marks of craftsmanship, time, and ideas shaped through the creative process.
This is a place where craftsmanship and design converse, where usefulness and beauty meet in an unapologetic simplicity. Every piece, every project, every imprint tells a story.
What emerges from Atelier Eiapit reflects our search for meaning, sincerity, and living material.
What does Eiapit mean?
Eiapit means « eternal » in Innu-aimun, the language of the Innu people. For us, this word evokes the endless cycle of transformation and imperfection, where eternity is found in movement and fluidity.
The Philosophy of Eternity at Eiapit
At Eiapit, our vision of eternity is rooted in the acceptance of imperfection and inevitable change. We believe that what is eternal is not fixed but in constant motion and transformation.
True eternity is not permanence, but disappearance. Everything that is born decays, transforms, and fades away. It is this impermanence, this instability, that defines eternity. Every form, every creation, every idea carries within it its own end, its disintegration—and it is in this acceptance that infinite beauty resides.
For us, eternity is not a pursuit of stability but of fluidity. Every creation, every gesture, every material holds its own imperfection, its own fragility. And it is precisely within this imperfection that eternity takes shape.
We embrace matter in transformation, the imperfections that endure, for that is what fills eternity—a never-ending cycle of emergence and disappearance, where everything finds its place, imperfect and real.
At Eiapit, eternity is life in motion, filled with inconsistencies, imperfections, and raw truths.
Who is Behind Eiapit?
Eiapit is the project led by Rocky Giroux, founding artisan, and Caroline Provost, artisan. Together, they explore the essence of craftsmanship and imperfection, seeking a simplicity that is both profound and sincere.
Their vision of eternity is rooted in the acceptance of the cycle of transformation and disintegration, where every gesture and every creation finds its place.
Authenticity Since 2020
Atelier Eiapit was founded in 2020 by Rocky Giroux, an artisan recognized by the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec. With an approach rooted in authenticity and respect for materials, the atelier embodies a vision where craftsmanship and design converse to create pieces marked by simplicity and timelessness.
